Join us for a whole day deep dive into our compost and fertility systems at the Agrarian Kitchen. We’ll cover our two main compost systems, hot composting and static fermentative composting. We’ll look at how we use rapid, hot aerobic composting to break down our garden waste. We’ll then explore the less known world of SPIC (Static Pile Inoculated Compost), which is our main system for managing food waste. Following our compost sessions we’ll go through our amendment program, which will cover and include recipes for fish hydrolysate, fermented plant extracts, and other fermentative sprays that we use in various ways to keep our garden happy and healthy. Finally, we’ll briefly look at other methods of feeding our garden with cover cropping, in situ mulching and inter planting to build as much diversity as we can into our productive systems. This whole day course will leave you with a wealth of information and a range of different strategies to keep your patch healthy and productive.
